There are many positive things about the new generation of the iPod touch 8GB and some things that, in my opinion, could be changed on the iPod iTouch 32GB.
Some built in apps include a web browser, mail client, a day planner and an address book.
The SDK is freely available so anyone can develop software for the iTouch.
First the things that are great about it. It has a sharp and easy to read display and loud enough audio. The speed sensor based gestures to use the interface are easy and fun to use. You can connect to the application store and the music store through Wi-Fi to get any song you want and add it to your library.
Some items that could be improved include breaking with some ‘made for iPod’ devices. The stainless steel back looks nice but shows fingerprints and scratches easily.
It would be useful to have GPS or FM but that is a minor detail.
In the interface you can not setup groups or search through the uploaded music. Once you get the songs going, there are no built in visualizers.
Overall the Apple iPod iTouch 32GB or 16GB or 8GB is a great unit and a welcome device into any lifestyle.
